ManpowerGroup Mobile HVAC/R Technician in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Our client, a leading organization in building maintenance and facilities management, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile HVAC/R Technician to join their team. As a Mobile HVAC/R Technician, you will be an essential part of the Facilities Support team, ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of critical HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mobile HVAC/R Technician

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

What's the Job?

  • Operate, inspect, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems in assigned facilities to ensure efficient and safe operation.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders promptly to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

  • Conduct inspections of interior and exterior property areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing, and lighting, to identify and address issues proactively.

  • Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo to document work performed and update work order statuses in real time.

  • Maintain a valid state driver’s license and be available for call-in work as needed to support facility operations.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance.

  • Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).

  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems.

  • Willingness to join UFCW 951 once converted and participate in provided training programs.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks as required.
