This position is responsible for providing structured, scalable security solutions to support innovation while maintaining a strong security posture. This position requires a strong understanding of business needs and initiatives as well as the ability to identify and apply security architectures that enable the business to be successful while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. This position requires a strong understanding of solution or application architecture, processes and procedures.
What You’ll be Doing:
Builds, develops, staffs, and oversees Security Architecture team
Develops and maintains a vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security architecture initiatives to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture
Consults with and provides guidance to IT technical services staff and the business to design secure architectural patterns
Analyzes standards and controls as defined by the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team, and consults with the right teams throughout the organization (e.g. DevOps, I&O, Developers) to understand business requirements and advises on security controls
Develops and maintains security reference architectures to ensure standardization and consistency in secure solution designs
Develops and facilitates the implementation of architectural policies and standards, procedures and templates for use in architectural design
Defines and integrates culture of ownership for architecture standards and design patterns
Collaborates with partners outside of Security to educate, advise on controls, and ensure adoption – includes DevOps for secure coding practices, I&O, and Product Support
Establishes the necessary security design review processes; conducting threat modeling for complex & high-risk implementations
Communicates information security initiatives effectively to internal staff, internal business customers, Senior/Executive level leadership and to external vendors as required
Leads and manages team of Information Security Architects, providing technical guidance and mentorship and prioritize their work
Partners with Security Awareness Specialist to develop and implement educations programs, conducting awareness seminars and workshops as appropriate
Analyzes overall effectiveness of architectural decisions to ensure best practices are incorporated to successfully meet the strategic goals of the company
Apply professional expertise and skills to review/ evaluate vendor proposals to determine adherence to architectural guidelines, specifications and investment strategy

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
Masters preferred
7+ years of information security experience
5+ years experience in solution architecture
Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
Demonstrated competency in developing effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
Familiarity with multi-platform environments and their operational/security considerations
Knowledge of all components of technical architecture
Familiarity with common enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman Framework, ArchiMate, FEAF, and MODAF
Ability to relate policies and procedures to architecture controls for infrastructure and foundational services
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to develop and manage efficient and motivated teams across multiple platforms and in varying environments
Confidence and leadership as a member of project teams in a cross‑functional environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
