Support the maintenance of all machinery on the manufacturing floor, including equipment in the packaging department.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members on the same shift to coordinate tasks, share information, and ensure smooth operations.
Assist with equipment teardown and removal activities once production ceases, following safe work practices and instructions.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all site safety procedures while working in a food manufacturing environment.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail when inspecting equipment, performing repairs, and documenting work completed.

Experience with 3-phase power systems and industrial electrical components.
Comfort working with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production lines.
Ability to adapt to a changing facility environment, including transition from active production to equipment teardown.

Why Work Here?
This role offers a unique opportunity to support a facility through a critical transition while gaining broad exposure to complex production and packaging equipment. You benefit from a clearly defined, temporary engagement of approximately 10–12 months, providing stability for a set period and the chance to see a full life cycle of operations, from active production through shutdown and equipment removal. In addition to regular pay, there is an attractive incentive of four weeks of additional pay upon successful completion of the assignment, rewarding your commitment through the final stages of the project.
Work Environment
The position is based in a large, fast-paced tortilla chip manufacturing facility that produces and packages various flavors and brands of chips. The plant currently operates a single production line that runs continuously, starting with corn flour and moving product through multiple ovens via conveyors until fully baked and ready for packaging. Because each line includes several ovens, the production area can become very warm; however, stationary cooling areas are available for employees to cool down as needed. The Maintenance Technician works on 3rd shift, typically from 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday and 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with required availability for 2–3 Saturdays per month. Initial training for the role takes place on 1st shift through March before transitioning fully to 3rd shift. You will work closely with three other maintenance team members, partnering directly with another technician on your shift, and will be responsible for all machinery on the manufacturing floor and in the packaging department. The environment is industrial and fast moving, with active production, heavy equipment, and strict adherence to GMP and safety standards.
