Job Title: Floater - Machine Operations and Shipping/Receiving
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Floater, where you'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks throughout the week. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys diversity in their work, as you will be trained to operate a saw and work in the shipping/receiving department. You will not be tied to any specific process, allowing flexibility to be pulled where needed.
Responsibilities
Review pick tickets and accurately identify grades, sizes, and RT#s for picking.
Document all necessary information on pick-tickets as per standard or location-specific procedures.
Identify correct locations of specified material using the AS400 computer system.
Utilize appropriate tools or procedures to obtain materials, including side-loader, crane, forklift, or manual lifting up to 75 lbs.
Package material for shipment according to standard or customer-specific requirements.
Move materials to proper staging locations for loading onto delivery trucks.
Maintain work area cleanliness and adhere to safety standards.
Demonstrate excellent attendance to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Read and understand various documents, including policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
Utilize common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Solve problems involving several known variables in routine situations.
Regularly use complex machines and equipment such as computers and production machinery.
Complete training requirements.
Work overtime as required based on customer demands.
Perform related duties as required or assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience as a machine operator
Familiarity with production and power tools
General labor skills
Ability to use a tape measure
Mental alertness and adaptability to work in both office and field areas
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Adaptability to different roles and responsibilities
Ability to write simple correspondence
Experience with complex machines and equipment

Work Environment
The work environment is fairly clean, dealing primarily with plastic parts. The position operates on the first shift, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm or 4:30 pm, depending on lunch breaks. Employees should expect to work in a setting that requires adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities for overtime based on customer demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
