Actalent Construction Project Manager in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee large box retail construction projects from planning through completion.

This role involves managing day-to-day construction activities, coordinating with contractors and vendors, maintaining project schedules and budgets, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and resolving issues on-site.

Responsible for keeping projects on track and communicating progress with clients and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have solid experience in commercial construction, especially retail, strong leadership and problem-solving skills, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on large box retail projects.

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project progress.

  • Maintain project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and financial targets.

  • Ensure safety and quality standards are adhered to on-site.

  • Resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

  • Communicate project progress effectively with clients and internal teams

Essential Skills

  • Proven ability to project manage box store retail projects or healthcare projects.

  • Experience with scopes, specs, and blue prints.

  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.08/hr.
