Job description
Job Summary:
The mission takes place in the context of transferring MRO activities from multiple locations and supporting the ramp up of the aftermarket and supply chain business within Safran Electronics and Defense Aftermarket division. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop comprehensive project plans that align with company goals and objectives.
Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Provide Weekly reports on the project progress. Delay, risk, Budget, Actions, etc.
Oversee the execution of projects related to MRO transfer, ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA Part 145, IATA).
Oversee the execution of projects related to aviation distribution centers (e.g., parts warehouses, supply chain hubs), ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, IATA).
Implement and utilize project management tools to track progress, costs, and performance against the project plan.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, airlines, manufacturers, regulatory counterparts, and third-party logistics providers.
Identify potential project risks, particularly those unique to the aviation industry (e.g., regulatory changes, Operation and supply chain disruptions, AOG, and/or geopolitical factors).
Assess and mitigate project risks; identify contingency plans.
Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within aviation distribution centers, optimizing processes for inventory management, order fulfillment, and parts distribution.
Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to minimize waste and improve operational workflow.

Travel Specificity:
The ability to travel Domestic and International (25%) will be required.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operate and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.
Work Environment:
The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection.
Experience in relevant Business sector:
Experience within aerospace industry is a plus but not required.

Required Competencies:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of project management experience, particularly in distribution centers or similar environments. Strong understanding of distribution center operations and logistics.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects within deadlines and budgets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
Project management certification preferred.
