Job Summary:
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) develops the Lifecycle strategy for new product development. This role ensures supportability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost objectives are embedded in product design, enabling successful entry into service and long-term sustainment. As a core member of cross functional teams, the ILS Manager supports the full development lifecycle (S0–S12) ensuring readiness for entry into service and long-term sustainment, customer satisfaction, operational, and program profitability, while interfacing with engineering, production, supply chain, programs, and customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Between S0 and S12, as a permanent member of the Project (Development) teams, and in functional liaison with the Project Manager and the Support Program Manager, the ILS Manager is responsible for:
• Defining support system elements and maintaining the ILS plan.
• Conducting maintainability, repairability, and availability analyses.
• Supporting sales/program teams in customer meetings and milestone reviews.
• Providing customer feedback to development and industrialization teams.
• Ensuring supportability (R&M, maintainability, lifecycle cost) is integrated into design.
• Coordinating development of support elements: tooling, test equipment, training, and technical documentation.
• Monitoring technical issues (obsolescence, compliance, repairs) and assessing impacts on support systems.
• Managing program objectives related to cost, schedule, and sustainment performance.
• Overseeing creation and validation of technical publications and provisioning data.
• Preparing entry into service by defining support organization, resources, and repair flows.
• Defining spare parts, support equipment, and maintenance strategies; leading LORA analyses.
• Coordinating obsolescence management, supply support, and configuration control.
• Supporting knowledge transfer to Customer Support upon product commissioning.
• Drafting support quotes and technical proposals for RFP responses.
• Coordinating operator and maintainer training packages and supporting field activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
Up to 30% travel domestic and international.
Physical Demands
Primarily office based, requires computer use, communication, and close range visual tasks. May lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
Work Environment
Office and industrial settings. Office noise is low; industrial setting may require PPE.

• Track KPIs for reliability, availability, maintainability, and support cost.

Candidate skills & requirements
Required Competencies
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years in sustainment engineering, or aerospace/defense logistics roles.
• Knowledge of MIL STD, S1000D, ASD standards preferred.
• Experience in system level engineering or maintenance operations is a plus.
