Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

Position/Location Specific Information

  • Manufacturing Technicianll,AO DPM,1stShift M – F 630-300

  • This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site withinBioProductionGroup.

What will you do?

  • Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.

  • Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with theassistanceof a computer interface toensurebatches manufacturedcontainaccuratematerials and quantities.

  • Calibrate andoperatemanual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment.Identifyand conduct basictroubleshootingequipment.

  • Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.

  • Complete andmaintaincompliance with the Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Completemoderately complex tasksrelated tothe manufacturingof cell culture media. Perform related duties asrequiredto meetbusinessgoals and requirements.

How will you get there?

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent isrequired.

  • Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes is preferred.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field

  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred. Basic computer skillsarerequired.

  • Strongattention to detail forcomplexinstructions and documentation whilemaintainingquality output.Demonstratedproficiencyin multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication withteam.

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to45pounds and may berequiredto stand for extended periods of time while performing duties. Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.

  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (whenrequired), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.

  • Availability to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $16.10–$24.16.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
