Position Title:

FTE Social Worker - Long Term Substitute

Anticipated Employment Date:

Anticipated Work Location:

Sidway Elementary/Middle School

Salary:

BA Step 1 $49,447 or MA Step 1 $52,190 per GITA contract

Duties:

Responsibilities as per District needs

Qualifications:

1. NYS Certified School Social Worker and 1-3 years experience preferred

2. Possess appropriate counseling experience, specialized training/coursework

3. Demonstrated ability to work with peers and administrators; willingness to learn and grow in order to better meet the needs of students

4. Ability to provide emotional support to children with behavioral, social and academic needs

5. Perform assessments, develop and implement therapeutic interventions with children and families.

6. Knowledge of school social worker, school counselor and/or school psychologist practices

7. CPI or its equivalent training preferred
