Grand Haven Charter Township Beach Attendant in Grand Haven, Michigan

The beach attendant works every Saturday, Sunday, and summer holidays from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The season begins the third weekend in June and ends Labor Day weekend. Work duties include assisting in enforcing the occupant limit, parking limitations and other rules and regulations pertaining to the use of the Buchanan Street road-end beach access. Someone with a love for being at the beach, taking care of the environment and talking with others will be a great fit for this job!
A Day in the Life:
- Count guests who are using the beach and parking area.
- Walk the beach area and pick up trash.
- Explain beach rules to guests.
- Assist in enforcing the occupant limit on the beach and additional rules pertaining to the beach area.
What You Will Need:
- Reliable transportation and a minimum age of 16.
- Ability to communicate with the public and Township employees with confidence, tact and discretion.
- Positive interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with beach neighbors and guests.
