CALIFORNIA TEMP SERVICES, INC SMT Machine Operator in Granada Hills, California

Summary: The SMT Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and adjustment of surface-mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble high-reliability circuit boards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. The operator collaborates with team members, supports quick-turn production, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities: Operate SMT pick-and-place equipment (Fuji and Mydata machines preferred) and other production machinery, including screen printers and reflow ovens Perform routine setup, operation, calibration, and adjustments of production equipment to ensure optimal performance Assemble high-reliability circuit boards with precision and attention to quality standards Support quick-turn production requirements and manage daily workflow priorities effectively Collaborate with team members to identify and implement quality and performance improvements Take on additional responsibilities as required to support production and team objectives

Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience operating SMT equipment in a high-mix, high-reliability manufacturing environment Fundamental English reading and writing skills to support clear and professional communication

Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) Willing to assume additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives Exhibits integrity, strong character, and a disciplined, results-driven work ethic Possess a detail-oriented professional with a positive attitude and a solutions-focused mindset Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions accurately. Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement initiative Ability to follow both verbal and written work instructions accurately and consistently Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident

Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or another related field Understanding of J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards

Payrate $21.00-30.00/hr DOE
