North Country Prenatal/Perinatal Council, Inc. Family Opportunity Center Specialist and Worker in Gouverneur, New York
This position will serve as a Family Support Worker for the North Country Prenatal Perinatal Council, developing and implementing programs in our Family Opportunity Centers serving parents and children.
This position utilizes established, research-based curricula and resources (i.e., Triple P Parenting) techniques and best practices related to parenting education and child development in performing program work.
This position will utilize a variety of delivery methods to provide information and training for families, primarily in the Center, with occasional home visits. Program topics will include, but are not limited to, positive communication, early learning, positive discipline, child development, and other topics as selected by families.
This position will also support the development of a Family Advisory Council, conduct intake and needs assessments, and coordinate all administrative aspects assigned to staff of the Family Opportunity Center program.
Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree
