Yard Supervisor Duties
- Oversees and directs activities of yard personnel to ensure they practice good customer service,
and the safe and efficient movement of goods and equipment on the premises.
- Helps maintain equipment, and schedules service when necessary.

``` - Directs workers in loading, unloading and movement of materials on the premises.

``` - Oversees inventory, receiving of yard materials and instructs yard workers in receiving and storage procedures.

``` - Inspects loading operations for outgoing delivery to ensure loads are correct,
and in compliance with shipping specifications, load limits and safety regulations.
- Schedule employees, to provide adequate shift coverage. (at times up to 8 employees)

``` - Provides on-the-job training to new yard employees including product knowledge of items stored in yard, and warehouse, housekeeping and safety procedures.

``` - Ensures outside areas are kept neat and clean of scraps and yard debris.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

``` - Related farm and ranch experience and experience supervising people.
```{=html}
``` - Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust.

``` - Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion may lift up to 50 pounds.

``` - May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.
