Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Quality Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving product quality for our space technology projects. This position involves comprehensive quality assurance responsibilities, including program quality assurance, root cause analysis and corrective actions, and customer quality support and communications. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of defect-free products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
Experience with aerospace technology, products, and processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goleta, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $156000.00/hr.
