A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Directing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals

● Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them

● Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices

● Working closely with the finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue

● Multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, kitchens, banquet, and convention facilities – as well as a number of managers and supervisors

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the effective operation and organization of the outlet. The Manager should be involved in the following functions: planning, costings, delegations, evaluations, organization, cost control, interviews, selection of candidates, keeping the discipline, setting targets, counseling, standards, appraisals, trainings, human relations, communication and coordination. Responsible for the smooth operation and production of goods and services under his/her control and the resources available to him/her. Keeping a constant eye on the standard of the ingredients, the meals, the restaurant environment and the service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Implements high service standards as per hotel procedure

  2. Represents the outlet in the daily F&B meetings and in other meeting where his / her presence in required

  3. Maintains employees’ attendance records, changes of status and evaluates his / her staff periodically

  4. Schedules staff duties according to forecast and special arrangements

  5. Holds daily briefings to discuss various aspects of service, sources of complaints and transmits information that has been brought to F&B meetings

  6. Ensures high standards of sanitation and hygiene in the outlet by working closely with both the housekeeper and Chief Steward

  7. Promotes up selling at all levels and by personal efforts through guest’s contacts

  8. Handles and advises the division of all guest’s comments and complaints

  9. Ensures that the operating equipment and general supplies for the restaurant are maintained at the establish par stocks and initiates requisitions for additional supplies if necessary

  10. Ensures that the service stations and the bar are properly equipped to service the guests

  11. Ensures that he / she remains in close contact with the Band, one man Show, Belly Dancer, regarding all entertainment and technical equipment

  12. Ensure that new team members undergo a complete department induction program in line with voco standards

  13. Ensures tight control on all cigars, cigarettes and beverage stocks as per hotel standards

  14. Maintains a written record of regular and VIP customer profiles, ensuring that their likes and dislikes are passed on to other concerned parties where necessary

  15. Assures that all team members are familiar with the hotel’s fire and safety regulations and know how to act in case of emergency

  16. Assure that all members within the team are correctly groomed according to voco standards

  17. Performs are other duty as required by superior

  18. Is fully aware of the licensing regulations and hotel procedures related to the bar and service of alcohol beverages and to conduct staff trainings accordingly

  19. Has a full knowledge of the food and beverage served in the outlet and their preparation and presentation

  20. Keeps the department book update

  21. Achieves sets budget in F&B as agreed on

  22. Is confident in answering the phone according to agreed standards, being fully aware of booking procedures, including parties and arrangements.

  23. Ensures that all guests are welcomed, seated and thanked on departure

  24. Delegates duties when necessary

  25. Creates an environment, which promotes staff morale and encourages the employee ensuring maximum efficiency

  26. Maintains a level of confidentiality

  27. Organizes his/her own promotions and activities in order to maximize sales opportunities

  28. Visits competitive outlets to assess the outlet in the market and to compile a report before

  29. Maintains and updates database of clients to complete a marketing and promotion plan on an ongoing basis

  30. Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation

  31. Not undertake any activity which compromises their personal FLS, or the FLS of others

  32. Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department

SELF-MANAGEMENT

  1. Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook

  2. Comply with company grooming standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel

  3. Comply with time and attendance policies set by the hotel

  4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

  5. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene and fire life safety

  6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

  7. Comply with the company’s corporate code of conduct

  8. Familiarize self with the company values (Guests Love) and model desired behaviors (Winning Ways, Room to be Yourself) and ways of working (IHG Wheel)

  9. Perform all tasks as directed by the manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the line manager

What We need from you:

● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field

● 4+ years’ related experience, including management experience

● Must speak local language

● Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
