Gloucester Housing Authority Maintenance Working Supervisor in Gloucester, Massachusetts
Responsiblilities - Provide supervision and training to a staff of 7 employees engaged in skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled work assignments. The incumbent will also be expected to complete work assignments. Availablility by phone should the on-call staff need advisement. Areas of expertise include plumbing, electrical, manchanical, flooring, snow removal, grounds maintenance, HVAC, carpentry and painting. Qualifications - Must possess a Constructions Supervisor\'s License. And if not already certified, will need to acquire 1A/2C Hoisting License through GHA funded training within one year of hiring. Should have a broad range of experience in several of these areas at a skill level normally required of a journeyman or higher. Previous Supervisory experience highly desirable. When on 24 hour call must always be within a 30 minute drive of the GHA developments. Candidates must obtain a passing grade on a GHA exam. Must be capable of providing on-call emergency coverage approx. every 6 weeks on a rotation basis. Must be in good physical health, possess a valid MA Driver\'s license, have reliable transportation and be able to lift 70 lb objects. Trade licenses/certifications are highly desirable.
