What you'll be doing :

Lead and drive the business strategy through the people agenda in partnership with senior leaders.

Provide strategic partnering with functional leaders to develop and drive the delivery of organisational strategy.

Lead major projects and strategic initiatives needed to deliver the people agenda.

Contribute to the delivery of our people and culture strategy, ensuring we are a great place to work.

Ensure the organisation is serviced with expert HR support across the full employee life journey

Support broader HR initiatives to transform the HR landscape.

EMPLOYEE JOURNEY

• Work with leaders, their teams and the HR department to ensure an excellent experience throughout the employee journey.

• Work in partnership with expert HR teams to ensure delivery of key initiatives and maximise HR expertise delivered to the business.

• Advise on complex HR issues and develop preventative strategies to minimise cases.

STRATEGIC PARTNERING

• Drive meaningful Strategic Workforce Planning that support business decision making and long term planning.

• Understand and address key organisational and people challenges facing the business.

• Coach people leaders to build teams and great employee experiences that support a performance and talent development culture

• Be a change agent and champion key programs of change.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Drive innovation within HR ensuring that business needs are understood and solutions are implemented well.

• Identify and ensure opportunities for improvements to the people and culture agenda.

INSIGHT & INTELLIGENCE

• Ensure the business is receiving and using relevant and timely insights and intelligence on activities and trends across the people agenda.

• Analyse internal & external data to develop and inform the people agenda for the function, and HR, for today and the future. Demonstrating impact of levers addressing business needs

• Actively seek to understand activities in other organisations that could benefit the organisation.

LEADERSHIP

• Be a role model for leaders and aspiring leaders across the organisations aligned to Safran Together.

• Represent the organisation and/or department at internal and external events

• Lead and provide clear direction and support for direct reports and other team members.

Candidate skills & requirements

Essential

  1. CIPD Level 7 / degree or equivalent education

  2. Minimum of 5 years people partnering experience working in a complex, multi functional organisation

  3. Demonstrable experience of driving change & value-add solutions in a HR generalist role

  4. Ability to develop, build and maintain credible and effective working relationships at all levels providing constructive challenge where appropriate

  5. Excellent communicator, able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives and adapt accordingly

  6. Results focused, coupled with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

  7. Commercial awareness and its impact on the environment in which the business operates, to anticipate the impact on the workforce.

  8. Excellent written and digital skills, including HRM systems, and analytical ability

  9. Self-starter, able to work on own initiative, whilst a collaborative team player

  10. Comfortable working operationally as well as strategically

  11. Comfortable with ambiguity

Desirable

  1. Experience working in a production/manufacturing/engineering environment

  2. Immigration/visa experience

  3. Line management experience

  4. Experience working in a global, matrix organisation
