United States Steel Product Marketing Manager I, BRS in Osceola,

13859BRJob Description:Objective of the Job:

The OEM Direct Part Account Specialist is responsible for managing existing accounts and preparing new accounts with a focus on supporting customer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.

2) Manage existing accounts and establish new accounts.

3) Maintain strong customer and vendor relationships using sales skills and product knowledge.

4) Collaborate and communicate with external and internal partners including vendors, scheduling, tech services, metallurgists, logistics and inside sales to achieve a positive customer experience and on-time delivery.

5) Full account management of single invoice automotive programs.

6) Involvement in outside processing including the set-up of accounts and parts, daily material movement, tracking inventories and schedules, and performing audits for traceability.

7) Monitor substantial amounts of material and data spread across multiple processing locations.

8) Facilitate continuous improvements through processes, inventories, and cost reductions.

9) Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

10) This position includes independent travel to OEM’s, stampers, processors, and mills, along with after-hours and weekends to support customer needs.

11) Manage OEM part number and platform data in the ERP system and assist in the establishment of forecast data.

12) Experience completing job functions with minimal supervision, leveraging critical thinking, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

1) Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering/technology, or a closely related field.

2) 5+ years of relevant steel industry experience, including production scheduling, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.

3) High level of detail, problem-solving, and technical skills.

4) Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to meet goals and objectives.

5) Demonstrates ability communicate calmly, clearly, and persuasively in all situations.

6) Demonstrates group presentation skills.

7) Projects professional appearance, behavior, manners, and etiquette.

8) Effectively interpret and make data-driven business decisions.

9) Strong understanding of outside processes such as slitting, painting, cutting to length, etc.

10) Strong understanding of the flat-rolled steel manufacturing processes, applications, and specifications.

11) Material Inspection and disposition experience preferred.

12) Experience with EDI.

13) Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

This position is remote. The environment is typically in an office setting with a controlled environment. Physical responsibilities do include plant tours and visiting customer locations as needed, with 50-75% of independent travel to customers, processors, and the mill is expected. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and be adept in both electronic and verbal communications. This position requires a flexible schedule. Hours could include overtime, nights, and weekends, as well as travel with little or no advance notice. This position requires the ability to work in hot/cold manufacturing environments.
