Aerotek Machine Builder in Glenwood, Illinois

Building piping systems and equipment using PVC, CPVC, carbon steel, and stainless steel. You’ll work from mechanical and electrical drawings, assemble components, route wiring, and use a variety of shop tools to produce high‑quality systems.
Responsibilities
Build and assemble piping and equipment
Follow mechanical and electrical drawings
Route and terminate wiring
Use drills, saws, grinders, cutters, and other shop tools
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks
Perform confined space entry when needed
Follow all safety and quality standards
Work independently and with a team
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of assembly experience
5+ years of pipefitting experience
Skilled with PVC, CPVC, carbon steel, and stainless steel
Able to read basic mechanical and electrical drawings
Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
Basic computer skills
Preferred
Trade/technical certification
Industrial maintenance or mechanic experience
Rigging and equipment‑handling experience
Basic electrical wiring skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glenwood, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
