Saint-Gobain Plant Manager in GLENWOOD, Arkansas
The Plant Manager is responsible for the daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, maintenance, pre-production, operations, and logistics. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for the development of policies and procedures designed to increase productivity, assure quality, and mitigate production problems. The Plant Manager will improve throughput and other in-house processes with the objective of reducing overall costs and enhancing customer satisfaction. The incumbent will provide direction to direct reports, offering professional expertise and monitoring performance to ensure that departmental and individual objectives are achieved within scheduled timelines and budgets. The incumbent will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining a safe, legally compliant workplace and enforcing compliance with all corporate policies and procedures. Must be fully engaged in the continuous improvement of the process and actively developing their direct reports to the same level.
Provide key leadership in overall EHS efforts and WCM activities.
Provide guidance/direction, tools, and resources to direct reports.
Plant lead in people development and organizational development.
Responsible for general operations and strategic planning (short-term and long-term).
Responsible for operational cost controls and budgeting, as well as capital budgeting and planning.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Provide key leadership to quality, efficiency, productivity and cost savings.
Provide top leadership for labor relations.
Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
Develop and implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve performance.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, establish and promote the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience, including at least six years in a hands-on leadership role within manufacturing, mineral processing, or mining environments.
Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of production operations, practices, and procedures, coupled with the ability to develop, motivate, and inspire employees through effective leadership and human relations skills.
Safety & Core Competencies: Demonstrates commitment to safe work practices and excels in communication, active listening, and organizational skills.
Technical & Process Expertise: Proficient with computer applications and experienced in lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA rules and regulations to ensure compliance and a safe workplace.
Leadership Focus: Provides strategic leadership and direction for plant operations, driving performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
