ITW is seeking a professional receptionist to provide excellent customer service to employees, candidates, vendors and customers. This highly visible role is important in ensuring a positive first impression and assisting visitors and employees in finding the correct point of contact over the phone and in person.
The Corporate Receptionist delivers professional, front-line service to employees, candidates, vendors, board members, and visitors. This role manages incoming calls, greets and directs guests, and provides administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of ITW’s corporate office.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route incoming calls using the main telephone system; experience with Unify telephony preferred.
Greet visitors, manage sign-in and badges, and guide guests to appropriate contacts or meeting locations.
Relay messages accurately and ensure callers and visitors are directed to the correct person or department.
Train backup receptionists as needed.
Provide general administrative support to the real estate team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Work closely with facilities and on-site security to uphold building security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with administrative assistants and other support personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma and 3+ years of experience as a corporate receptionist or a closely related professional front desk role are required
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; knowledgeable in general administrative procedures.
Reliable and available to work onsite at the corporate campus Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow through independently.
Proven ability to solve problems and remain calm and flexible in changing situations.
High level of integrity; able to manage confidential and sensitive information discreetly.
Resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Compensation Information:
The compensation for the role is paid hourly at a range of $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
