Deer Creek School District #3 Elementary Teacher in Glendive, Montana
Multi-Grade Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Job Summary:
Will teach students in accordance with Montana Academic Standards. A small rural school allows the instructor to know each student's strengths and challenges and to work to ensure student success. Will be teaching K-8 in a one-room, rural school.
Deer Creek currently has 21 students.
A successful candidate will be energetic, enjoy students, be able to multi-task, and enjoy the flexibility which comes from a small, rural school.
Requires a Montana Teaching Certificate.
DUTIES:
Teach students in accordance with Montana Academic Standards
Present required final reports and records to County Superintendent's office
Submit book and supply orders for ensuing school year in February
Responsible for safety of students
Periodically instruct and drill students as to proper exit and manner of leaving building in case of fire
Keep a record of daily schoolwork and grade pupils accordingly
Inform parent by first part of second semester if any pupil is in danger of being retained
Be in direct supervision of pupils at all times during recesses and lunch hour
In-service training participation as recommended by County Superintendent
Notify the board and superintendent in writing of any major classroom or disciplinary problems
Work with other teachers in planning field trips, programs and other school functions
Other duties as assigned
Full-time position working a 5-day school week.
Starting salary is $50,000. Benefits include Montana Teachers' Retirement Membership, paid leave days, $2000 signing bonus, and the choice of a housing stipend or insurance.
