Position Summary: * This position is extremely important to our store. Checkout is one of the last and most important experiences that our guests encounter in our store. You must at all times express exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with the public. Our guests are to be treated with kindness and respect; and their purchases must be processed efficiently and accurately. This position can also be Full time or Part time. *
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and process transactions quickly, accurately, and courteously
- Operate cash register and follow all checkout and cash-handling procedures
- Assist guests with questions, product locations, and bagging purchases
- Maintain awareness of promotions, pricing, and store programs
- Follow ID policies and report pricing or system issues
- Support team communication and contribute to a positive work environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in front-end areas
Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Report hazards, spills, or equipment issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of hands for scanning, bagging, and handling items
