How you’ll make an impact in this role
Conduct regular claims audits for coding/billing accuracy and documentation sufficiency. This includes:
Creating and issuing audit reports to stakeholders.
Developing corrective action plans for improvements in coding, billing, and documentation.
Identifying trends and educational needs.
Preparing and delivering coding education.
Helping manage the coding and billing audit program, focusing on high-risk compliance areas.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentialed from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred.
Reg Health Info Admnstr credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience required.
What additional preferences we're seeking
Position is 100% remote, hours worked must be between 6a-6p CT .
CPC or RHIT withdirectevaluation and management(clinic and hospital visits) codingexperience- thisis for professional feebilling.
Must be comfortable speaking with clinicians.
Mustbe able to work independently withstrong attention to detail and be well organized, asthere are many moving parts within the workflows.
Epic experience is a plus.
Cardiology Pro Fee experience desired.
