Job Description:
Advises departments on designing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, policies, and protocols. Develops and implements systems, policies, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of quality, risk, and patient safety information. Collects, evaluates, and maintains data concerning injuries, complaints, claims, and other patient safety-related data. Educates and trains leadership, staff, and physicians on the quality and patient safety program and their respective responsibilities. Investigates and analyzes root causes, patterns, and trends of compensatory or sentinel events, serious adverse events, and near misses. Assists with identification and implementation of corrective actions where appropriate. Reports all adverse events to appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies as required. Works with legal counsel to coordinate the investigation, processing, and defense of claims against the organization. Enhances knowledge of quality improvement and safety best practices through literature review, interaction with internal and external resources, and understanding of evolving regulatory requirements. Collaborates with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Provides guidance and support to staff on quality and patient safety matters. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• 2+ leadership or management experience [Required]
• 5+ job related experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$119,766.52 - $222,771.45
