Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.
Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.
To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.
Demonstrates adherence to the Standards of Conduct Requirements. Completes and turns in the SOC acknowledgement card Fulfills compliance education requirements as directed by the Compliance department or department management "The Integrity Program: Standards of Conduct-a guide to compliance and ethics"
Demonstrates competency in department-specific Customer Service Standards.
Complies with hospital/departmental policy and procedures, and adheres to the code of ethics and conduct of The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Nuclear Medicine
Understands and adheres to procedure orders requirements to include: verifying orders in the medical chart, prescriptions, and verifying patient's identification.
Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date.
Communicates effectively with physicians, ancillary areas, and internal staff. Demonstrates the capacity to evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self, and involves supervisors as necessary.
Job Requirements
Required
One (1) year or more as a Nuclear Med Technologist in a full service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department.
Computer skills for operating within the RIS/HIS/PACS
Solid medical terminology knowledge and ability to successfully complete job related communication & arithmetric calculations required of the position.
Radiation Safety/Safety Program related courses.
Certification in Nuclear Medicine issued by State of California (CNMT) Certification in Nuclear Medicine/Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-NM) and/or certification by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Pay Range
$75.64 - $75.64 /hour
