What you will do
The main responsibility for the Animation Timer is to ensure that the Director and Executive Producer’s overall creative vision for the timing of the show is understood by the studio producing the animation through completion of timing on the x-sheets (exposure sheets). Responsibilities include:
Using the animatic and storyboards as a guide, works out the timing of the dialogue and the overall action.
Indicates lip assignment
Delivers finished x-sheets per scheduled deadline to either the Timing Supervisor or Director
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
A minimumof3years of experience in Animation departments
Knowledge of Traditional Animation and CG Animationpipelines
Working knowledge of Track Read and Animatic for problem solving
Familiarity with breadth of layout,backgroundand slugging
Ability to produceapproximately 90-100ft/day (depending on complexity of series)
Capable ofidentifyingboard adjustment
Alignmentwith style and sensibility of show
Flexibility in afast-pacedenvironment
Excellent organizational,verbaland written communicationskills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

- This is a fully on-site role based in Glendale, CA.
The pay rate for this role in California is $47.76 to $ 60.71 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
