County of McLeod COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK COORDINATOR in Glencoe, Minnesota

Job Duties

The Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing Community Work Service (CWS) crews and ensuring program operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established policies and court requirements. This position reviews referral materials to confirm offenders meet program criteria and ensures all required documentation is complete prior to work assignments. The Crew Leader provides direct, on-site supervision of crews of up to six workers per shift, coordinates and organizes work projects, and monitors productivity to ensure projects are completed effectively while promoting a positive and structured work experience. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of work progress and program activities, submitting required documentation to Court Services/Probation, and communicating regularly with courts, probation officers, and other County partners regarding offender status and program matters. The Crew Leader safely operates tools, equipment, and vehicles—including all-terrain vehicles—while enforcing safety standards and County policies. This role also collaborates with various County departments, ensures adherence to safety practices, and performs other related duties as assigned to support program goals and community needs.

Minimum Education Required

Associate degree in a related field or related studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.

Minimum Experience Required

One year of related job experience with an associate degree, or three years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
