Hiring Melt Tech-Gilmer Area
Responsibilities:
Work with plant metallurgist to prepare molten metal charges
- weigh out alloys and different types of scrap metals to charge into melting furnace
- work on the melt deck charging and sampling molten metal for analysis
- operate coreless induction power supply and corresponding pumps and cooling systems
- use overhead crane to charge as well as pour off heats
- repair and refurbish refractory in melting furnace as well as pouring ladles
Qualifications:
- conduct oneself in a safe and professional manner
- understanding of the challenges of a molten metal environment
- good math skills for charge calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification or experience

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
Schedule: 8-10 hour shift
