Job Title: Structures Mechanic Job Description

As a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance on structures components, developing and maintaining records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, and installing new parts to enhance performance. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and resolving mechanical problems and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance on structures components.

  • Develop and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and reports related to parts or services.

  • Inspect and examine structures components to identify cracks, corrosion, or other defects.

  • Consult maintenance manuals and specifications to ensure correct operations for replacements or repairs.

  • Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts, enhancing performance.

  • Repair sheet metal as needed.

  • Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports.

  • Maintain documentation related to inspections, repairs, and reassembly of structures components.

  • Follow all Federal, Airside MRO, and OSHA regulations while performing maintenance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of sheet metal/structures experience.

  • MRO or 145 experience required.

  • Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software for record-keeping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, inspecting, and reading blueprints and schematics.

  • Understanding of manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Landing gear, full-blown disassembly, bird strike repairs, and patchwork experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is air-conditioned and includes a Monday to Friday schedule from 7/8am to 4/5pm. The role may offer flexibility based on company needs, and the position is contract-to-hire, generally leading to direct hire around 6 months based on performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilbert, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
