Pay & Compensation
Local RNs: $65/hr
Travel RNs (40 hours/week):
$35.50/hr taxable
$952/week lodging
$602/week meals & incidentals
Total Weekly Gross (Travel): $2,974

Facility: All-women’s state correctional facility in Gig Harbor, Washington
Position Overview
We are seeking multiple Registered Nurses (RNs) for a contracted role at an all-women’s correctional facility. Nurses will provide direct patient care in a structured, security-focused environment, supporting the health and medical needs of an incarcerated female population.
This is an auto-offer position , however full clearance must be completed prior to any offer being issued . Please note: completion of clearance does not guarantee placement .
Clearance Requirements (Mandatory)
All candidates must successfully complete full Department of Corrections clearance prior to offer, including:
DOC documentation and onboarding requirements
Medical clearances and screenings
RN Responsibilities
Perform nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
Administer medications and treatments per protocol
Respond to medical emergencies within the facility
Accurately document care in compliance with DOC policies
Collaborate with providers and correctional staff
Maintain safety, security, and professional boundaries at all times
Requirements
Active RN license (Washington State; compact license accepted per state guidelines)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of RN experience preferred
Correctional, psychiatric, or behavioral health experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass all DOC background and medical clearances

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
