About the Organization

SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations Group is a global team operating in over 20 countries, providing essential support to key business lines including Markets, Services, and Wealth Management. We provide an array of services to enable client lifecycle transactions; from relationship establishment, supporting the data demands surrounding instruments and delivering non-financial reporting to our regulators.

The Operations Optimization & Enablement Team, within SMBIC Data and Regulatory Operations, is responsible for the execution of strategic change initiatives, including:

  • Developing and implementing Gen AI solutioning strategies in partnership with Technology

  • Driving transformative change initiatives across the organization

What you’ll do

The DRO FPMO (Functional Project Management Office) is accountable for management of strategic initiatives across Data and Regulatory operations. The role holder will:

  • Review of functional Book of Work to ensure adherence to all project management policy and procedure as Functional PMO

  • Conduct UAT testing to understand, train and communicate changes out to project managers and embedded change within the organization

  • Represent DRO when engaging with Organizational PMO, ensuring that the organization has a voice at the table

  • May be responsible for the day-to-day management of execution against milestones and budget on one or more projects. Assess creation and ensure sign-off of project plan, charter, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central project issue log.

  • Engage stakeholders across product and functional domains to drive transformative changes

  • Apply knowledge of Data concepts and procedures to resolve issues and complete required analysis

  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents

  • Review use cases and drive implementation of strategic technology solutions

  • Develop strategic solutions and process optimization in partnership with functions

  • Appropriately assess and escalate risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

What we’ll need from you

  • Extensive experience in project management roles, ideally within Operations

  • Proficient and with a strong track record of managing project scope, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control ensuring compliance with project management governance

  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business, operations, technology and compliance, including those at senior levels

  • Ability to rationalize and work through organizational change. Proven track record in terms of evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer the process to create significant improvement across all key variables

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Ability to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas

  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions

  • Minimum 10 years experience

$100,800.00 - $151,200.00
