JOB REQUIREMENTS: About Sterling\'s 2026 Summer Internship Program: The Sterling Summer Intern Program is a paid 11-week program from June 1 - August 14, 2026. Sterling interns are provided hands-on work experience building upon knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Interns work side-by-side industry leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment who are passionate about being part of a team developing life-saving drugs around the world. Throughout the 11-week program, interns will work on defined individual projects to learn about GMP fundamentals and techniques from Sterling professionals. The program concludes with individual presentations to Sterling leaders. Summary of Role: Sterling is seeking a highly motivated Technical Training & Support Intern, who will will assist in developing and deploying improved training materials that support safe and effective operation within our manufacturing environment. The intern will focus on updating and standardizing On the Job Training (OJT) materials for AFDs, centrifuging, and cone drying. They may also support the Technical Writing team with template updates and documentation improvement efforts. This role is ideal for students with strong technical curiosity, attention to detail, and an interest in manufacturing processes or technical communication. Primary Projects to Include: * Training Material Development * Redevelop and modernize OJT content for AFDs, centrifuges, and cone dryers * Perform task analysis and organize content into clear, structured learning materials * Work with subject matter experts to gather accurate process information * Package the updated materials into a consistent and user-friendly OJT format * Assist in deploying the improved OJT packages to the manufacturing teams * Technical Writing Support * Support updates to departmental documentation templates * Assist with formatting, layout adjustments, and document consistency * Help define a sustainable process for template updates going forward * Participate in document cleanup and organization as needed * Additional Responsibilities * Support Back to Basics safety training * Conduct interviews with operators and technical experts to gather input * Help coordinate training discussions and small group review sessions * Participate in regular departmental meetings and improvement activities Requirements for the Role: * Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Science, or Technical Communication * Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills required. * Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills required. * Excellent problem-solving and basic troubleshooting ability required. * Ability to handle multiple tasks. * Candidates need to be competent with IT systems and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and Excel. Location This position is located in Germantown, WI, a vibrant city northwest of Milwaukee in Southeast Wisconsin.
