Job Title: Production Technician Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is the mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using small hand and/or power tools. The position requires some soldering and collaboration with other Production Technicians and Engineering to enhance assembly process documents, ensuring high-quality standards. The role involves working closely with manufacturing engineers to optimize assembly efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to work order protocols, completing work order paperwork during the assembly process, and conducting in-process quality checks to maintain high standards. The technician is expected to follow established procedures on routine tasks and may require guidance on new assignments, all while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using small hand and/or power tools.
Perform soldering as required.
Collaborate with Production Technicians and Engineering to improve assembly process documents.
Work with manufacturing engineers to optimize assembly efficiency and improve product quality.
Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed.
Conduct in-process quality checks to maintain high standards.
Follow established procedures on routine work and seek guidance on new assignments.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
Proficiency with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools.
Ability to solder as part of assembly duties.
Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret instructions in various forms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Vocational training in Electronics or Solder Certification is preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Knowledge of Safety and ESD practices.
Experience working on new product development with engineering teams.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong initiative and drive to achieve goals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
