Job Summary Pegatron Technologies seeks a skilled and dependable HVAC Engineer to join our Facilities Plant Maintenance team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems that ensure optimal indoor environmental quality, energy eiciency, and regulatory compliance. This role involves technical design work, project coordination, system analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting across new construction and existing facilities. Reasonability Design HVAC systems including load calculations, ductwork layouts, equipment selection, and control strategies. Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Perform energy modeling and system performance analysis to optimize eiciency. Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing of HVAC systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and control issues in existing systems. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, NEC, etc.). Prepare cost es mates, project schedules, and technical reports. Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction. Support preventive maintenance planning and continuous improvement initiates. Qualifications Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related engineering discipline. or equivalent experience Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one (preferred). Certification in HVAC or building systems (e.g., ASHRAE, LEED, EPA 608) is a plus. 5+ years of experience in HVAC, engineering, or system commissioning Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. Proficiency with HVAC design soware (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace). Knowledge of building automaon systems (BAS) and control logic. Familiarity with energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and mechanical codes. Ability to perform load calculaons and system sizing. Experience with VRF, chilled water, boilers, air handling units, and venlaon systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effecve communicaon and collaboraon with cross-funconal teams. Ability to manage mulple projects and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong documentaon and reporng skills.
