Pegatron Technogies LLC FATP Production Operator / Technician in Georgetown, Texas

Pegatron Technologies (a major ODM/EMS provider for clients like Apple and HP) operates high-volume Final Assembly, Test, and Packing (FATP) lines. FATP roles are critical to the manufacturing process, focusing on assembling sub-components, testing functionality, and preparing finished goods for shipping.

Job Summary:

The FATP Operator/Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging electronic devices (e.g., computers, smartphones, servers) on a fast-paced production line. This role ensures products meet quality standards and production quotas while adhering to strict safety and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols.

Reasonability:

Assembly: Assembles sub-components, housing, and components for electronic products according to work instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Testing: Operates, monitors, and troubleshoots automated test equipment (ATE) to ensure functional testing (FCT) of products passes strict criteria.

Quality Inspection: Conducts visual inspection and functional tests to identify defects, misalignments, or failures.

System Input: Uses System Factory Information System (SFIS) to track production numbers, failure rates, and unit movement.

Rework: Performs basic repair or rework of failed units, such as component replacement, as directed by failure analysis technicians.

Packing: Finalizes products by packaging with accessories, labeling, and boxing for shipment.

Safety/Cleanliness: Maintains a strict 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) work environment and complies with all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Previous experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments preferred.

Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions and schematics.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

Ability to stand for long periods (8-10 hours) and perform repetitive tasks.

Basic computer skills (for SFIS input).
