Adient US LLC Lead Materials Analyst in Georgetown, Kentucky

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Lead Materials Analyst is responsible for overseeing material planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to support uninterrupted production operations. This role leads material analyst activities, supports the materials team with data-driven decision making, and ensures accurate planning, inventory control, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.**Lead Materials Analyst Responsibilities:- Lead and support the materials analyst team in planning and managing material flow to support production schedules.- Mentor and guide materials analysts to improve team performance.- Monitor inventory levels, shortages, and excess material to maintain optimal stock levels.- Analyze material demand, usage trends, and supply risks to prevent production disruptions.- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery.- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to inventory, shortages/critical material, and team metrics.- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.- Responsible for analyzing cycle counts adjustments to ensure accurate inventory accountability.- Lead root cause analysis for material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and planning issues.- Support ERP/MRP system accuracy, including item parameters, planning data, and inventory transactions.- Generate material releases to suppliers on a weekly basis. Familiar with QS9000, ISO14001 procedures.- Immediate communication to Materials Manager of any likely material runouts.- Secures prior approval from Materials Manager for any expedited freight.- Responsible for validating packing slip to receipts, and monitoring production, scrap and other inventory-related data- Assists various other departments such as Accounting, Receiving, and Shipping in resolution of discrepancies.- Responsible for updating and maintaining of system (QAD) data to ensure database integrity.- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the manager, which includes daily tasks and checklist.Education/Requirements:- Associates Degree in Supply Chain or related field or Additional Equivalent Experience- 3-5 Years of Materials Analysis/Planner/Scheduling in Manufacturing - Automotive Preferred- Couple Years of Supervisory / Leading Teams- Strong Excel and ERP knowledge (SAP & QAD - Preferred)- Strong Problem SolvingPRIMARY LOCATIONFoamechAdient is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to r ace, color, r eligion, s ex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
