Robert Half Medical File Clerk in Georgetown, Delaware
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical File Clerk to join a team on a short-term contract basis in Georgetown, Delaware. In this role, you will assist with organizing, scanning, and saving patient and caregiver records to ensure accurate documentation. This is an onsite position requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.
Responsibilities:
• Organize paper charts and employee records in preparation for scanning.
• Scan documents using an onsite multifunction device capable of double-sided scanning.
• Save scanned files to a network drive using a standardized naming convention.
• Potentially upload files directly into client charts within the designated system, as instructed.
• Handle approximately 300–400 files across two locations, with an average of five minutes of work per file.
• Follow detailed instructions and receive onsite supervision for all tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure all personal information is handled securely.
• Collaborate with agency directors at each location to ensure a smooth workflow.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in filing or administrative roles.
• Familiarity with medical records, including electronic medical record systems.
• Proficiency in using scanning devices and basic computer software.
• Knowledge of SharePoint and similar file management tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Comfortable working onsite and adhering to project timelines.
• Experience with systems such as Allscripts or Cerner Technologies is advantageous. TalentMatch®
