Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated individual to perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary to address the personal needs and comfort of patients in an environment that promotes dignity and healing.Responsibilities * Perform vital signs and activities of daily living as outlined in the plan of care, including ADLs. * Assist with hourly rounding and document care rendered per guidelines. * Meet the nutrition needs of patients as outlined in the plan of care, including meal delivery and assistance with feeding. * Properly document care per policy, protocol, and procedure. * Maintain patient comfort and safety, including turning and positioning patients and providing skin care. * Assure rehabilitation needs are met, including ROM, ambulation, transfers, and proper body alignment. * Identify and report changes in patient physical and emotional status promptly to the nurse. * Participate in shift changeover communication, providing complete and relevant information about patients.Qualifications * BLS certification required through AHA/RQI. * High school graduate or equivalent education with post-secondary education in health or human services. * 1-2 years of customer service or health-related experience, preferably in Med/Surg, ED, or ICU settings. * Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and a patient-centered focus. * Basic knowledge of healthcare and the nursing assistant role. * BLS certification required through AHA/RQI. * High school graduate or equivalent education with post-secondary education in health or human services. * 1-2 years of customer service or health-related experience, preferably in Med/Surg, ED, or ICU settings. * Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and a patient-centered focus. * Basic knowledge of healthcare and the nursing assistant role.Work EnvironmentThe staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must understand the principles of growth and development across the lifespan and possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data to provide age-specific care.
