Job Description Summary

Creating 2D & 3D drawings of Standard /Special Power transformers based on customer’s specification and to prepare designs, calculations, drawings and bill of materials for procurement, quality, test and manufacturing functions.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical drawings by using CAD tools and engineering calculation methods.

• Following up the mechanical drawings’ lifecycle from beginning to the delivery of internal customers.

• Following non-conformance reports and to ensure to be taking necessary preventive actions.

• Attend engineering & production reviews to produce error free designs & reliable products, to reduce the cost of non-quality and to insure adequate performance of the unit.

• Preparing the mechanical design drawings, considering international rules and national standards, using the appropriate GE standards and tools, relying on material specifications (technical understandings, costs, procurement loop), and manufacturing capabilities

• Aware of the company and local EHS policies, rules and standards. Showing exemplary behaviors on EHS. Performing the preventive/corrective actions in collaboration with EHS team to avoid the accidents, incidents and environmental damages.

Required Qualifications

• Min. Technical School Graduation

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Mechanic Design area

• Knowledge of 2D & 3D Cad Software (Autodesk, Autocad and Inventor)

Desired Characteristics

• Sound Knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals

• Transformer sector in MPT/LPT Design knowledge would be a big asset

• Work Effectively Under time pressure in complex organizational structure.
