Honeywell Sr Advanced Software Engineer in Gdańsk, Poland

We are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join our dynamic 10-person delivery team, focusing on the MB ecosystem of intrusion and access control products. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced professional with proven expertise in software development, as well as a strong background in DevSecOps and platform design. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge solutions that enhance security and operational efficiency.

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for intrusion and access control management systems within the MB ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and deliver high-quality products on schedule.

  • Implement secure coding practices and integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).

  • Contribute to the architecture and platform design of embedded systems and related software environments.

  • Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure reliability and performance.

  • Document software designs, specifications, and procedures to facilitate team collaboration and future maintenance.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to security and access control solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software and firmware development.

  • Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, and Python programming languages.

  • Extensive experience working in Linux and Windows environments.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices and platform design.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure software development methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Windows based systems and communication technologies.

  • Knowledge of intrusion detection, access control technologies, and MB ecosystem products.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

  • Certifications in security or DevSecOps (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, DevSecOps Practitioner) are a plus.
