Job Description

Responsibilities:
Shipping: Prepare and process shipments accurately and promptly. Coordinate with carriers and ensure all documentation is complete and complies with regulations. Monitor shipping schedules to meet delivery requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.
Receiving: Accept and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Verify contents against purchase orders and report any discrepancies or damages. Ensure timely unloading and proper storage of materials in designated locations.
Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to avoid shortages. Assist in the organization of the warehouse, ensuring it is clean, safe, and efficient.
Documentation: Maintain precise records of all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. Utilize inventory management systems to update and track data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations. Provide support during audits and collaborate on process improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards. Participate in training sessions to stay informed about best practices and new regulations in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or inventory role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a commitment to following safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex logistics with minimal supervision.
