Job Description
Join a leading diversified metal solutions provider and the largest metals service center company in North America as a CNC Programmer. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and is open for the 1st shift with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
Program and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality in all metal fabrication tasks.
Make necessary edits to CNC programs, set up X and Y axes, and check alignments.
Read and interpret blueprints for accurate machine setup and execution.
Utilize calipers and micrometers for precise measurement and machining.
Operate CNC equipment during downtime to maximize productivity.
Handle materials including aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, carbon steel, Teflon, fiberglass, plastics, and polycarbonate.
Set up tools and determine the best setup based on blueprints and project requirements.
Familiarize and work with G codes and M codes.
Essential Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist.
Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Mastercam.
Experience with G codes, M codes, and 3-axis mills.
Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate machine setups.
Experience with calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
Strong knowledge of machining, turning, drilling, and tapping various metals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.
Familiarity with Lead well CNC Machines is advantageous.
Experience in the aerospace or automotive machining industry is beneficial.

The work environment is a small machine shop that is hot and non-climate controlled. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
