Job Title: Entry-Level Medical Device Assembler Company: Precision Optics Corporation Location: Gardner, MA Employment Type: Full-time Shift: [Insert Shift ? shift differential applies] Salary: \$19-\$20/hr + shift differential Position Summary: As an entry-level medical device assembler at Precision Optics Corporation, you will assemble optical and mechanical components with precision and care, conduct quality checks, maintain clean work areas (ISO Class 7 cleanrooms), and support production goals while developing skills in the medical device industry. Principal Responsibilities: Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, and SOPs to assemble complex optical and mechanical devices to meet strict quality standards. Work with small parts and tools; maintain steady hand and attention to detail. Clean and inspect optical components and assembled products. Perform quality checks and complete inspection reports/production records. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and comply with cleanroom and safety protocols. Perform repetitive tasks and miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and report defects or process issues. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education helpful). Basic understanding of medical device assembly and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Basic computer skills for production records and documentation. Familiarity with tools (soldering irons, microscopes, assembly jigs) and basic mechanical/electrical skills are beneficial. Soldering experience and correct handling/measuring/mixing of epoxies is a strong plus. Problem-solving ability, teamwork, effective communication, and willingness to learn. Working Conditions: Manufacturing and laboratory environments, including ISO Class 7 cleanrooms; PPE required in controlled areas. Routine use of standard office equipment. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear. Travel:Limited, local travel may be required.
