Job Title: Installation Technician
Job Description
The Installation Technician supports the installation of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) by assisting with site preparation, framing, roofing, and finishing work. This role operates and maintains construction tools and equipment, contributes to a safe and organized job site, and works closely with a field team to complete projects on schedule. The position is hands-on, physically demanding, and ideal for someone with construction or general labor experience who enjoys working outdoors and building high-quality structures.
Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of ADUs, including site preparation, framing, roofing, and finishing work.
Operate and maintain basic construction equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment to support daily construction activities.
Perform general site clean-up to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
Communicate clearly with the site supervisor and crew regarding task status, issues, and needs.
Follow instructions and work independently when required to complete assigned tasks.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the site supervisor to support project completion.
Essential Skills
2–3 years of experience in construction or general labor.
Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment, including hand and power tools.
General construction skills, including familiarity with site preparation, framing, roofing, and finishing tasks.
Basic carpentry skills and ability to work with wood and structural components.
Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a construction environment.
Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with construction equipment and tools.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience reading or working from basic blueprints or construction drawings.
Exposure to mechanical and electrical tasks in a construction setting.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Positive attitude and flexibility to perform a variety of construction-related tasks as needed.

Work Environment
This role is based on outdoor construction sites with regular exposure to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain. The work is physically demanding and involves frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods throughout the day. You will work around active construction equipment, hand tools, and power tools, following established safety protocols and using provided tools and equipment to complete tasks. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a focus on maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gardena, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
