Join Our Team as a Development Coordinator!
Are you passionate about supporting the nonprofit community and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not for profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Development Coordinator to join our External Affairs Department!
Wage: $50,000 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM, occasional evenings
Location: 99 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd. in Garden City
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Development Coordinator supports the execution of fundraising and external affairs activities. This role is responsible for day-to-day development operations, including donor data management, fundraising coordination, event support, and basic grant and communications support.
The position is task-driven and execution-focused, requiring strong organization, follow-through, and comfort working with systems, data, and deadlines.
What are the key responsibilities:
Development Operation & Execution
Execute day-to-day development tasks assigned by the Chief External Affairs Officer.
Support fundraising campaigns, appeals, and initiatives through administrative and operational work.
Maintain organized systems for tracking assignments, deadlines, and deliverables.
Ensure timely follow-up on all development-related activities.
- Donor Date & CRM Management
Enter, update, and maintain donor records in DonorPerfect or similar CRM.
Record all gifts, pledges, and donor interactions accurately and in real time.
Maintain data integrity, consistency, and reporting accuracy.
Generate donor lists, reports, and basic analytics as needed.
- Fundraising Coordination
Support execution of fundraising campaigns including events, direct mail, and digital outreach.
Prepare donor acknowledgment letters and ensure timely distribution.
Assist with donor outreach tracking, follow-ups, and engagement activities.
Maintain donor lists and campaign tracking tools.
4.Events Support & Execution
Support planning and execution of fundraising events.
Coordinate logistics including guest tracking, materials, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
Prepare event materials (sign-in sheets, pledge tracking, reports).
Assist with post-event follow-up and reporting.
- Prospect Research & Grant Support
Conduct research on prospective donors, partners, and funding opportunities.
Prepare basic donor and funder profiles.
Track grant deadlines and assist in gathering required documentation.
Support grant submission process as needed.
- Tracking, Reporting & Analytics
Maintain activity trackers for donor outreach, meetings, and follow-ups.
Track fundraising progress, including donations, pledges, and campaign performance.
Assist in preparing internal reports, dashboards, and summaries.
Support data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Communication & Marketing Support
Assist in drafting donor communications, including acknowledgment letters and basic outreach materials.
Support newsletters, email campaigns, and social media content using platforms like Constant Contact.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather stories, outcomes, and impact content.
Assist in production of annual reports and donor-facing materials.
- Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
Coordinate with Finance on gift reconciliation and reporting.
Assist with preparation of materials for leadership and Board-related development activities.
Maintain confidentiality of donor and organizational information.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
2–3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or event support.
Experience with donor databases (DonorPerfect or similar preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email platforms, and spreadsheets.
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and technology quickly.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to attend events (including evenings/weekends).
