Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead and manage daily field operations for site work projects, primarily on municipal roadways, with additional industrial and commercial work. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating equipment and materials, maintaining safe job sites, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in outdoor environments. Overtime hours are expected during the busy summer season.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily site work activities from start to finish
- Lead and supervise crews to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
- Coordinate trucking, equipment mobilization, and material deliveries
- Order aggregates, concrete, pipe, and precast materials as required
- Communicate regularly with dispatch, truck drivers, managers, and project stakeholders
- Establish and maintain safe traffic control and work zones
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Track daily materials, crew activities, and labor hours
- Resolve field issues and report project progress to management
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted accurately
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in site work, grading, and equipment operation
Experience with excavators, graders, milling equipment, and related machinery
Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Valid driver's license (CDL Class A or B preferred)
Safe driving record
