Provides supervision and guidance to maintenance field staff, scheduling workloads, training, safety program, and assisting with daily maintenance and repairs of facilities, grounds, and equipment. Operates, maintains and trains others in various types of equipment, including hand and power tools, mowers, tractors, heavy equipment, and trucks. Participates in cultural and natural resource stewardship; financial management, including budget planning and purchasing materials and supplies, inventory and preventative maintenance management software and programs, and reviews, and approves reports, human resources management; customer service, public relations; interpretation and education, coordinating special events, engaging in community outreach, volunteer development and coordination of partnerships. Inspects and audits completed work on buildings, equipment, machinery, vehicles, grounds; and reports inspection findings to appropriate staff, management, and other agencies. Performs daily preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspection) of facilities and grounds. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
