General Production Worker- $19-21/hr
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Shop Laborers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of experience in a shop setting. In this role, you will be responsible for performing general labor duties, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, utilizing hand and power tools, sanding/grinding materials, and operating machinery after thorough training. Candidates with experience in hand and power tools, sanding, grinding, and general production are a perfect match for this position.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor duties and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
Sand and grind materials as required.
Operate machinery once fully trained.
Read and interpret measurements and shop blueprints.
Perform machine operations and deburring tasks.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience in a shop as a laborer/production worker.
Experience operating manufacturing equipment, including industrial machinery, forklift, or sander/grinder.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of experience sanding/grinding steel components.
Ability to operate various shop machinery.
Ability to read a shop blueprint.

Work Environment
Work in a large shop/manufacturing environment that is non-climate controlled, with dock doors open and fans to manage temperature in warmer seasons. The position operates on a 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available starting at 6 AM when required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
