Soldering Technician
We are seeking an experienced Soldering Technician with strong knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in microscope-assisted soldering (up to 10x), particularly using the Mantis magnification system , and skilled in performing detailed touch-up and repair work on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Expertise in freehand, through‑hole, and SMT soldering is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform touch-up and repair work on PCBs with a high level of precision.
Execute soldering tasks before and after automated robot soldering processes .
Conduct freehand, through‑hole, and SMT soldering in accordance with industry standards.
Operate microscopes and Mantis magnification devices for fine‑pitch component work.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in soldering, SMT assembly, and electronic assembly techniques .
Hands-on experience with PCBs , surface mount components, and electronic manufacturing processes.
Ability to use a wide range of soldering tools , including through‑hole and SMT equipment.
Knowledge of IPC standards and familiarity with SMT machinery.
Ability to operate and inspect work using magnification tools up to 10x.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with class 2 or class 3 electronic assemblies.
IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 certification (or the ability to obtain them).
Basic math proficiency.
Prior experience in quality control or electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Small, collaborative electronics manufacturing team of 13 members.
Standard work schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM .
Casual dress code: jeans, t-shirts, and closed‑toe shoes .
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Gaithersburg, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
